These classic chocolate chip cookies are soft, chewy, and loaded with gooey dark chocolate chunks. With golden crispy edges and a melt-in-your-mouth center, this easy recipe is perfect for beginners and home bakers alike. Whether you serve them warm with milk or pack them for a sweet treat, these cookies are guaranteed to impress.
Prep: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2Dry Mix: In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda.
Step 3Wet Mix: In another bowl, whisk melted butter with both sugars until smooth and slightly fluffy.
Step 4Add Egg & Vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Step 5Combine: Gently fold the dry mix into the wet mixture until just combined—don’t overmix.
Step 6Add Chocolate: Stir in the dark chocolate chunks.
Step 7Shape: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the tray, leaving enough space for spreading.
Step 8Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are golden but the centers remain soft and gooey.
Step 9Cool & Enjoy: Let cookies cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
