These mini marble cakes are soft, fluffy, and visually stunning with their chocolate-vanilla swirls. They’re perfect for kids’ lunchboxes, tea parties, or any special occasion. Easy to make with simple ingredients — and guaranteed to impress!

Step by step method
Step 1

Prepare Batter Mix together flour and baking powder, set aside. In a mixing bowl, beat oil and powdered sugar until well combined. Add 2 eggs and half of the flour mixture. Beat lightly. Repeat step with remaining 2 eggs and flour. Do not overmix. If batter feels too thick, add 2–3 tbsp milk

Step 2

Create Marble Swirl Take 4–5 tbsp of the batter into a small bowl. Mix in 2 tbsp milk and 2 tbsp cocoa powder to create chocolate batter. In greased mini cake molds, add plain batter first, then spoon in some chocolate batter. Use a skewer or knife to gently swirl for marble effect.

Step 3

Bake Preheat oven at 170°C for 15 minutes. Bake at 150°C for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool before removing from molds.

Tips & variations
  • Don’t overmix the batter; this keeps cakes light and fluffy.
  • You can add vanilla essence to the plain batter for extra aroma.
  • For a richer taste, replace 2 tbsp oil with melted butter.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate up to 5 days.
