Creamy Chicken White Handi

Creamy chicken white handi is a rich and flavorful pakistani/indian-style curry made with tender chicken cooked in a yogurt-based white masala, fresh cream, and aromatic spices. The smooth, velvety texture combined with green chilies, capsicum, and a hint of cheese gives this dish its signature creamy taste. Perfect for family dinners, dawats, or festive occasions, this handi pairs beautifully with naan, paratha, or steamed rice.

Step by step method
Step 1

Cook Onions & Chicken: Heat oil in a handi (or pan). Add chopped onions and fry until light golden. Add chicken pieces and cook until they change color.

Step 2

Add Spices & Yogurt: Add salt, black pepper, white pepper, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Mix well. Add whisked yogurt and cook on medium flame until oil separates.

Step 3

Add Vegetables & Cream: Add green chilies and sliced capsicum. Cook for 2–3 minutes. Pour in fresh cream and mix well.

Step 4

Finish with Cheese & Garnish: Add a cheese slice and stir until melted for extra creaminess. Garnish with fresh coriander and extra green chilies.

Step 5

Serve: Serve hot with naan, paratha, or rice.

Tips & variations
  • For extra creaminess, add 2–3 tbsp milk along with cream.
  • If you like smoky flavor, give charcoal smoke (dhungar) before serving.
  • Use boneless chicken for restaurant-style handi.
