Step by step method
Step 1

Marinate Chicken . In a bowl, mix buttermilk with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and oregano. Add chicken cubes, coat well, cover, and refrigerate for 1–2 hours (overnight for best flavor).

Prepare Coating . In another bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and oregano.

Double-Coating Method . Remove chicken from marinade, shake off excess. Coat in flour mixture. Dip lightly in cold water. Coat again in flour mixture, pressing flour onto chicken for an extra-crispy crust.

Step 4

Frying . Heat oil to 170–175°C (340–350°F). Fry chicken in batches until golden brown and crispy (about 4–6 minutes per batch). Drain on paper towels.

Step 5

Serve . Enjoy hot with ketchup, garlic mayo, ranch, or hot sauce.
