These cheesy malai chicken balls are creamy, cheesy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Made with shredded chicken, cream, spices, and stuffed with gooey mozzarella, they’re perfect for tea-time, parties, iftar, or as a freezer-friendly snack. You can air fry, deep fry, or bake them for a crispy golden outside and soft, cheesy inside.

Step by step method
Step 1

Prepare Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, onion, green chilies, cream, spices, cheddar cheese, cornflour, and coriander. Mix until everything comes together.

Step 2

Shape Balls: Take a small portion of mixture, flatten it in your palm, stuff with mozzarella cheese, and roll into a ball.

Step 3

Coat: Dip each ball in beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs until well coated.

Step 4

Cooking Options: Air Fryer: Preheat at 180°C, cook for 18 minutes until golden. Deep Fry: Heat oil on medium flame, fry balls until golden brown and crispy (about 8–10 minutes). Bake: Bake at 200°C for 20–22 minutes, turning once for even crispiness.

Tips & variations
  • Don’t skip stuffing mozzarella for that gooey cheesy center.
  • Double coat with breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  • Best enjoyed fresh, but you can freeze for 1–2 weeks (due to cream, avoid longer freezing).
