These spicy cheese & potato puffs are the ultimate baked snack – crispy, flaky puff pastry filled with spicy mashed potatoes and gooey mozzarella cheese. Paired with a refreshing signature green chutney, they’re perfect for ramadan, tea-time snacks, or even as a party appetizer. The best part? You can prepare and freeze them ahead of time for a quick and easy treat!
Prepare Filling Mash boiled potatoes in a bowl. Add onion, green chillies, coriander, and all spices. Mix well. Adjust spices and lemon juice to taste.
Step 2Assemble Puffs Cut puff pastry sheets into squares. Spread chilli garlic sauce on each square. Place potato filling and shredded mozzarella cheese in the center. Fold pastry into triangles or rectangles. Seal edges with a fork. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sesame & nigella seeds.
Step 3Bake Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F). Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Step 4Make Green Chutney Blend tomatoes, onion, garlic, green chillies, coriander, and mint leaves. Adjust salt, lemon juice, and water for consistency. Store extra chutney in freezer-safe containers.
