Super crunchy potato sticks are a fun, cheesy, and crispy snack made with boiled potatoes, cheese, and flavorful seasonings. Coated with a light batter and bread crumbs, then fried until golden brown, these potato sticks are perfect for kids, tea-time snacks, parties, or as a side dish with burgers and sandwiches. Their extra crunch and cheesy taste make them an irresistible crowd-pleaser.
Prepare the Mixture: Add boiled potatoes into a ziplock bag. Add corn starch, black pepper, chili flakes, oregano, cheese slice, cheese powder (optional), salt, and chopped coriander. Mash everything well from outside the bag until smooth.
Step 2Set the Mixture: Flatten the mixture evenly in the bag using a rolling pin. Place in the freezer for 2–3 hours until firm (not fully frozen).
Step 3Cut into Sticks: Once firm, cut the mixture into stick shapes.
Step 4Prepare the Coating: Make a thin batter using flour, a pinch of salt, and water. Dip each potato stick into the batter, coat with bread crumbs, and keep aside. (Pro Tip: Double-coat for extra crunch!)
Step 5Fry the Sticks: Heat oil and fry potato sticks on medium heat until golden brown and crispy.
Step 6Serve: Sprinkle chaat masala on top. Serve hot with ketchup, mayo, or your favorite dip.
